Issue from theAir France Legend collectionWe offer you this superb reproduction of the original poster designed by the artist Holz in 1936. It highlights the flights of the French airline to Europe. Departing from Paris, represented by the Eiffel Tower, planes take off towards Spain and its bullfights, England and its flourishing factories, the Maghreb and its dazzling white medinas, but also towards the Black Forest between Switzerland and Germany, or even towards Morocco and its dromedaries. A true reflection of its time, this poster offers us a colorful representation of Europe and the Maghreb, through the lens of a magnifying glass, the handle of which is none other than an airplane reminiscent of the destinations offered by Air France:London,Barcelona,Algiers,Ajaccio,Cannesor elseRome, Prague and Budapest.

Taken from the official Air France historical heritage collection, this poster bears a dry stamp in its lower right corner attesting to its Air France Legend authenticity. With its texts written in English, it reflects the company's vision at the time, which was globally oriented. 1936 also corresponds to the year in which the French were granted the right to paid leave, discovering the concept of vacation. That year, the"flying holidays" mentioned on the posterbecame a reality for the first time in France, which reinforces the historical value of this poster.
