Jean de Brunhoff

I believe it was in an old picture book, browsed through at my grandparents' house, that I first encountered Babar , that little crowned elephant, imagined by Jean de Brunhoff . Unknowingly, I was entering one of the most tender and iconic universes of French children's literature. There was a gentle, old-fashioned charm in those illustrations, something profoundly reassuring.

Years later, it was while rediscovering Brunhoff 's original illustrations that I understood how much his delicate style had influenced generations. Babar is not just an elephant story, it's a world, an era, a simple elegance in pastel colors, which evokes childhood, imagination and kindness.

As a printer turned collector, I wanted to pay homage to this foundational work through a selection of vintage Babar posters , faithful to the spirit of their creator. For all those who, like me, grew up with Babar or wish to share this magic with their children, these posters are an invitation to rediscover a universe that is both poetic and timeless.
