Reproduction of one of the illustrations from one of the first albums of Babar's adventures, " Babar in the Family ," published in 1935. The famous character was conceived by Cécile de Brunhoff when she told stories to her children at night, and later her husband Jean brought the little elephant to life by illustrating the very first album of Babar's adventures for their children.
