Babar and Céleste play doubles tennis against Monsieur and Madame Pilophage. This illustration is taken from one of the first albums of the adventures of Babar " Le Roi Babar " published in 1933. The famous character was imagined by Cécile de Brunhoff when she told stories to her children in the evening, and later her husband Jean brought the little elephant to life by illustrating the very first album of Babar's adventures for their children.
