Jean Fortin – Air France Posters, Graphic Heritage of the 1950s

Jean Fortin is a French illustrator renowned for his advertising posters created for Air France in the late 1950s. His clean, modernist, and colorful graphic style embodies the spirit of travel and the elegance of the airline's major campaigns. Among his flagship works is the poster "Air France – Morocco" (1959), which highlights the rich architectural and cultural heritage of Morocco, particularly Marrakech, through the depiction of the Koutoubia Mosque, ochre ramparts, and minarets, against a backdrop of intense blue sky and an airplane in the background. This composition evokes both escape and modernity, in line with the great posters of the golden age of French advertising graphics.

The Jean Fortin collection offered by Oneart brings together these iconic posters, officially licensed by Air France and drawn from the airline's historical heritage collections. Each poster is handcrafted in our workshop in Fontainebleau, printed on 200g matte Hahnemühle art paper, in several standard sizes (30x40 cm, 50x70 cm, 60x80 cm), and bears a dry stamp guaranteeing its authenticity. On-demand printing limits stock and ensures responsible and reasoned production.

Enhance your interior with these iconic posters by Jean Fortin, testament to the elegance, the dream of escape, and the graphic heritage of Air France.
