For the first time, the official poster for Roland-Garros 2003 was designed by a woman, the American artist Jane Hammond. She created a unique work where ochre clay, worked in relief, serves as a backdrop for silhouettes of male and female players, cut out and pasted, creating a visual ballet between lightness and aridity, a tribute to the clay courts of the tournament.
