Babar, Celeste, and the old lady are on vacation by the sea and arrive at the lighthouse by bicycle. Arthur, on his motorcycle, arrived first and is waiting for them at the top. This illustration is from the album "Babar and the Four Thieves," published in 1979. The famous character was created by Cécile de Brunhoff when she told stories to her children at night, and later her husband Jean brought the little elephant to life by illustrating the very first album of Babar's adventures for their children.
