Roland-Garros 2025 magnet by Marc-Antoine MATHIEU

The 46th official Roland-Garros poster, created by Marc-Antoine Mathieu, celebrates the art of comics—a first in the tournament's history. The renowned artist, graphic designer, illustrator, and comic creator drew inspiration from an aerial view of the court, transforming its layout into ten panels, much like a comic book page. Each panel becomes a narrative fragment, giving the viewer the freedom to reconstruct the sequence of events and imagine their own match progression. The colors of blue (sky), yellow (ball), and ochre (clay) set the rhythm of the composition, while the presence of the moon and stars suggests the passage of time, from the first morning rallies to the night sessions. Created with India ink and finalized digitally, the poster is the result of a dialogue between Marc-Antoine Mathieu’s artistic sensibility and the FFT’s expertise in capturing the unique shade of the clay. This hybrid, graphic, and poetic work invites every admirer to build their own story and wonder about what happens at Roland-Garros, even after nightfall.
